Very Inspiring People
Throughout our lives we meet people who inspire us. Giving us the desire to share their time and join them in their causes. At Atelier Bleu de Cocagne our “VIP‘s” express Creativity and Solidarity : core values in our approach. Our collaborations come naturally with a sincere desire for exchange and sharing.
MEETING VIRGINIE DARBON
Virginie was guided by mixed origins ; Reunion Island, Indian and Malagasy. Her love for noble materials and beautiful silhouettes was transmitted from her mother and her grandmother who both had a passion for beautiful fabrics and clothing. Consultant and stylist, she mixes genres and colors in an unbounded electicism. She worked at the ANDAM Fashion Award, at Jay Ahr alongside creator Jonathan Riss. She currently collaborates with artists such as; Calypso Rose, Keziah Jones, Amadou & Mariam, Cerrone, etc… from the label, Because Music. Aesthete in the soul, she combines her artsy and classic universe with a dose of Afro-chic to bring an elegant spin to all your outfits.Inspired by a creative and positive energy she gives life to the clothes she wears !
Virginie, what does the slow fashion / sustainable mouvement in the garment world invoke in you ? The slow fashion/sustainable mouvement is an obvious contrast to fast fashion. The garments are designed with quality. Raw materials and techniques are respectful of the environment and with socially responsable working conditions. It is clearly the way to go for the future.
What represents the color blue to you ? Blue represents infinity and spiritual immensity.
What will be the best occasion for you to wear the kimono jacket ? In Paris, as daywear with jeans and a white T-shirt or on vacation, in Capri Italy wearing the Kimono jacket as a dress with Castaner sneakers !
